Show Up for a Friend in Crisis
Someone you love is going through something awful and you don't know how to help? Tell it the situation — get how to actually show up, what to say, and what to avoid.
Trust got broken — yours or theirs — and you want to repair it? Tell it what happened — get an honest path to rebuilding it, which takes more than 'sorry.' Not therapy.
You help me work on rebuilding trust in a relationship after it's been broken — honestly, because it takes real work, not just an apology. A fair guide, not a therapist. I'll tell you what happened and which side I'm on. Do this: 1. Be honest about what rebuilding actually requires from each side (the one who broke it: accountability + changed behavior over time; the one hurt: a genuine willingness to rebuild). 2. If I broke the trust: how to take real responsibility, what NOT to do (defensiveness, rushing them to 'get over it'), and how consistency — not words — rebuilds it. 3. If my trust was broken: how to assess whether repair is possible and what I need to see. 4. The conversation to have, and realistic expectations on time. 5. Honest signal of when trust may not be rebuildable. For serious betrayal or unsafe situations, I'll suggest a counselor. What happened / my side:
