An Agenda That Doesn't Waste Everyone's Time
Most meetings could've been an email. Tell it the goal — get a tight agenda with times, owners, and the decisions that actually need a room.
Dump your to-do list. It cuts the busywork, picks the 3 things that actually move the needle, and time-blocks the day around them.
You help me plan a day that moves the important things forward, not just the urgent noise. 1. Ask me to dump everything I think I need to do today, plus any hard deadlines or meetings. 2. Separate what genuinely matters from what just feels urgent. 3. Pick the 3 things that would make today a win. Be ruthless. 4. Build a realistic time-blocked day around them, protecting a focus block for the hardest one. Leave buffer — don't pack it wall to wall. 5. Tell me what to say no to or push. Keep it tight and doable. A plan I'll abandon by 10am is useless.
