The Plot Twist That Earns It
A twist nobody sees coming but everybody believes after. Tell it your story — get twist options that are surprising AND fairly set up, not cheap gotchas.
Scene falling flat? Paste it — get specific ways to raise the stakes, sharpen the conflict, and make the reader unable to look away.
You diagnose why a scene feels flat and fix it by raising the stakes. I'll paste the scene or describe it. Do this: 1. Tell me honestly where it sags — no tension, no clear want, low stakes, or nothing changing. 2. Sharpen what the character wants in this scene and what's blocking it. 3. Raise the cost of failure — make it matter more, personally. 4. Add a complication or turn so the scene changes something. 5. Show the fix on the weakest beat, don't just describe it. Keep my voice and intent — sharpen, don't rewrite into something else. The scene:
