The second take. On the first one she turned too slowly and the dupatta never left her shoulder.

A 27-year-old South Asian woman, adult, not a teenager. Full-length, head to feet, space above her head.
She is mid-turn, rotating toward camera-left. Her hips still face camera-right, her shoulders have already come round, her head is furthest round of all — chin lifted, turned fully toward the lens. Weight is on her left foot, the right heel lifted and pivoting. Both arms are out from her body at waist height, elbows soft, fingers spread and loose, swung by the rotation rather than posed. Her mouth is open in a short laugh, eyes bright, outer corners creased.
She wears a marigold yellow silk kurta to the knee, straight-cut, with a gold zardozi panel from the round neckline to the sternum and bands at the sleeve ends. Wide marigold palazzo trousers below, two separate legs, the hems swinging out and lagging a half-beat behind her turn.
A pale coral net dupatta with a gold border has lifted clear of her left shoulder, caught mid-air in an S-curve behind her, its far end still rising. Transparent: the backdrop reads through it, coral-shifted, the border opaque.
Gold jhumkas flung out of vertical by the turn. Gold bangles. Closed gold mojari, both feet visible, ankles straight, five toes each.
She stands on a deep rust floor cloth strewn with white jasmine. Behind her at two metres, a warm sand-coloured painted backdrop carrying a large flat circle of deep rust paint at head height, her head crossing its lower edge. This is matte pigment on the backdrop, slightly uneven, softly airbrushed at its rim. It emits no light and is not a sun.
A single hard source from camera-right at head height. It rims her right cheekbone, right shoulder and right arm in a bright warm line, leaves her left side in warm amber shadow, and throws her sharp shadow across the backdrop to camera-left, cutting over the painted circle. The disc stays flat and matte wherever the light crosses it.
