Turn the Numbers Into a Report Clients Actually Read
Clients don't read P&Ls. They read the story you tell about them.
Make a confused client actually get it — no jargon, no condescension.
A client doesn't understand [FINANCIAL CONCEPT — e.g. accrual vs cash, depreciation, why their profit doesn't match their bank balance]. Explain it so they get it. Client context: [their business type / how financially savvy they are] Give me a plain-English explanation using an analogy from their world, a simple example with real numbers, and the one practical thing it means for their decisions. No accounting jargon unless you immediately define it. Keep it short — enough to make it click, not a lecture. End with the question they'll probably ask next and the answer.
